Ingredients
  

Cocktail
  • 2 oz gin London Dry or winter-spiced
  • 4-5 oz tonic water premium recommended
  • 1 slice dehydrated orange wheel
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • Stemless wine glass or rocks glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Jigger

Method
 

  1. Fill a glass generously with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the gin over the ice.
  3. Top with tonic water and stir gently with a bar spoon.
  4. Garnish with the dehydrated orange wheel. Slap the thyme sprigs between your palms to release their aroma and place them in the glass.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

To dehydrate your own orange slices, bake thinly sliced oranges on a wire rack at 200°F (95°C) for 2-3 hours until dry.
