Ingredients

Whipped Feta Base
  • 8 oz Feta cheese block, drained
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil plus more for drizzling
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper freshly ground
Toppings
  • 3 tbsp honey or hot honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 3 sprigs fresh thyme leaves only

Equipment

  • Food processor
  • Rubber spatula
  • Serving bowl

Method

  1. Crumble the feta cheese into the bowl of a food processor. Add the softened cream cheese, minced garlic, and black pepper.
  2. Pulse the mixture several times until the feta is broken down into small crumbs.
  3. With the processor running, slowly stream in the olive oil. Continue to process for 2-3 full minutes until the mixture is completely smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  4. Transfer the whipped feta to a serving bowl. Use the back of a spoon to create swirls and divots in the surface.
  5. Drizzle the honey generously over the dip, allowing it to pool in the swirls.
  6. Sprinkle evenly with red pepper flakes and fresh thyme leaves.
  7. Serve immediately with warm toasted bread, pita chips, or crackers.

Notes

Ensure your cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for the cream cheese. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
