Ingredients

Whipped Feta Base
  • 8 oz feta cheese block, drained and crumbled
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened (or 1/2 cup Greek yogurt)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic peeled
Toppings
  • 2 tbsp honey regular or hot honey
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes to taste
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary finely chopped
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary for garnish

Equipment

  • Food processor or high-powered blender
  • Rubber spatula
  • Serving bowl

Method

  1. In a food processor, combine crumbled feta, cream cheese, 2 tbsp olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic.
  2. Pulse to combine, then process on high for 2-3 minutes until incredibly smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed.
  3. Transfer the whipped feta to a serving bowl, creating swirls on the surface with a spoon.
  4. Drizzle generously with honey and the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and chopped rosemary. Garnish with the rosemary sprig.
  6. Serve immediately with toasted bread, crackers, or vegetables.

Notes

Use a block of feta in brine for the best texture; pre-crumbled feta can result in a grainy dip. For a spicier kick, use hot honey instead of regular honey.
