  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Crunch Layer
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet, divided
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups crispy rice cereal

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk melted butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until combined.
  3. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just mixed. Pour into pan.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool slightly.
  5. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with peanut butter in the microwave until smooth.
  6. Stir in rice cereal until coated. Press firmly over the brownie base.
  7. Melt remaining 0.5 cup chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
  8. Let set completely before cutting into squares.
