Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 box brownie mix plus ingredients on box (egg, oil)
Cheesecake Filling
  • 24 oz cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs large
  • 1 tbsp orange zest freshly grated
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Toppings
  • 1 cup orange marmalade or orange curd
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 orange segmented for garnish

Equipment

  • 9-inch springform pan
  • Electric Mixer
  • Roasting pan for water bath

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare brownie mix according to package instructions.
  2. Pour brownie batter into a greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes until top is set. Remove and lower oven to 325°F (160°C).
  3. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently. Stir in orange zest.
  4. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Pour batter over the brownie base.
  5. Bake in a water bath at 325°F for 55-60 minutes until center is slightly jiggly. Turn oven off and let cool inside for 1 hour.
  6. Chill cheesecake in fridge for 4+ hours.
  7. Spread orange marmalade/curd over the chilled cheesecake.
  8. Heat heavy cream and pour over dark chocolate. Whisk to make ganache.
  9. Slice cheesecake, drizzle with warm ganache, and top with orange segments before serving.

Ensure all dairy ingredients are at room temperature to prevent lumps.
