Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Decoration
  • white chocolate melted, for muzzles
  • mini chocolate chips for eyes
  • pink sprinkles or icing for cheeks
  • melted dark chocolate for nose and mouth

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  6. Roll dough into balls for heads and smaller balls for ears; attach ears to head.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool cookies completely before decorating.
  9. Pipe white chocolate for the muzzle and add chocolate chips for eyes.
  10. Add pink cheeks and pipe a nose and smile with melted chocolate.

Notes

For extra cuteness, vary the expressions on each cookie. Store at room temperature up to 5 days.
