Ingredients

Slush Base
  • 4 cups ripe fresh peaches sliced and frozen solid
  • 0.5 cup light clover honey
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cups large ice cubes
Garnish & Rim
  • 1 tbsp honey for optional glaze/rim
  • 2 whole fresh peach halves for garnish
  • fresh peach slices for garnish
  • red-and-white striped straws multiple per glass

Equipment

  • High-Powered Blender
  • Glasses
  • Red-and-white striped paper straws

Method

  1. For the optimal texture, prepare fresh peach slices and freeze them solid on a parchment-lined baking sheet for at least 2 hours.
  2. Combine the frozen peach slices, fresh honey, and fresh lemon juice in a high-powered blender. Add the large ice cubes.
  3. Start the blender on low, gradually increase to high, and blend until completely smooth and velvet in consistency (about 1-2 minutes). Do not overblend.
  4. Immediately pour the slush into glasses. Dip the garnish and rim in honey if desired.
  5. Garnish with a whole peach half and a fresh peach slice. Insert multiple striped straws into each glass.

Notes

For the absolute best results, use fresh peaches that are super ripe and soft. For an adult version, add a splash of rum or vodka to the blender before blending. Store any leftover slush in an airtight container in the freezer, and blend briefly before serving to re-slushify.
