- To make sugared cranberries: Simmer water and 1/2 cup sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat. Stir in cranberries to coat, then transfer to a wire rack to dry for 15 minutes until tacky.
- Roll the tacky cranberries in the remaining sugar until frosted. Set aside.
- Rim a glass with a lime wedge and dip into sugar.
- In a shaker, muddle mint leaves with simple syrup.
- Add tequila, triple sec, cranberry juice, lime juice, and ice. Shake vigorously.
- Strain into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with a splash of club soda.
- Garnish with sugared cranberries and a mint sprig.
Notes
For a mocktail version, replace tequila and triple sec with ginger beer or extra sparkling water.
