Ingredients

Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice strained, from about 5-6 lemons
  • 0.5 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 cup Cold Filtered Water
Assembly & Garnish
  • 2 cans Lemon Sparkling Water 12oz each, such as LaCroix
  • 4 cups Ice Cubes
  • 1 Lemon sliced into thin wheels
  • 2 Edible Flowers such as pansies (optional)

Equipment

  • Citrus juicer
  • Whisk
  • Liquid Measuring Cup
  • Rocks glasses

Method

  1. Juice the lemons until you have 1 cup of juice. Strain out any seeds or heavy pulp.
  2. In a pitcher or large measuring cup, vigorously whisk together the fresh lemon juice and sweetened condensed milk until completely smooth.
  3. Stir in the cold filtered water to complete your creamy base.
  4. Prepare your glasses by pressing thin lemon wheels against the inside walls.
  5. Fill the glasses completely to the top with fresh ice cubes, securing the lemon wheels in place.
  6. Pour the creamy lemon base over the ice, filling the glasses a little more than halfway.
  7. Top off each glass slowly with the lemon sparkling water. Gently stir to combine.
  8. Garnish the top of the ice with a fresh edible flower and serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh lemons rather than bottled juice for the best flavor. If you cannot find edible flowers, garnish with a sprig of fresh mint instead.
