Ingredients
  

The Shake
  • 3 cups vanilla bean ice cream
  • 0.5 cup whole milk plus more if needed
  • 2 tbsp molasses
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
The Garnish
  • 0.25 cup salted caramel sauce warmed
  • 0.5 cup whipped cream
  • 2 tbsp red sanding sugar for rim

Method
 

  1. Dip the rims of two tall glasses in corn syrup or honey, then dip into red sanding sugar to coat. Chill glasses in freezer.
  2. In a blender, combine ice cream, milk, molasses, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. Blend on high until smooth and creamy. Add more milk if a thinner consistency is desired.
  4. Pour mixture into the prepared chilled glasses.
  5. Top generously with whipped cream and drizzle with warm salted caramel sauce.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For an adult version, add 2 oz of bourbon or spiced rum before blending. You can crumble fresh gingerbread cookies on top for added crunch.
