Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 2 lbs seedless grapes green or red, washed and dried
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice freshly squeezed
Coating Options
  • 1 box cherry or strawberry gelatin powder 3 oz box
  • 1 box blue raspberry gelatin powder 3 oz box
  • 1 box lime or green apple gelatin powder 3 oz box
  • 1 box orange gelatin powder 3 oz box
  • 1 box grape gelatin powder 3 oz box
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar optional, for extra crunch

Equipment

  • Small Mixing Bowls
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. Wash the grapes thoroughly, remove from stems, and pat completely dry with a paper towel.
  2. Place each flavor of gelatin powder into its own separate small bowl or plastic bag. Mix a little granulated sugar into each if desired.
  3. Pour the fresh lemon juice into a separate small bowl.
  4. Working in small batches, dip the dry grapes into the lemon juice, shaking off the excess liquid.
  5. Immediately drop the moistened grapes into the gelatin powder and toss or shake until completely coated.
  6. Place the coated grapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they do not touch.
  7. Repeat until all grapes are coated in the various colors.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour to set, or place in the freezer for 2-3 hours for a frozen, crunchy treat.
