Ingredients

For the Sangria Base
  • 4 cups cranberry juice unsweetened or lightly sweetened
  • 2 cups pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup orange juice pulp-free
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda chilled, added just before serving
For the Fruit Infusion & Garnish
  • 1 large orange thinly sliced
  • 1 large red apple cored and sliced
  • 0.5 cup whole cranberries fresh or frozen
  • Cinnamon sticks and fresh rosemary optional, for garnish
  • Ice cubes optional, for serving

Equipment

  • Large pitcher (8-10 cup capacity)
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Prepare and slice the orange and apple.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine cranberry, pomegranate, and orange juices. Stir gently.
  3. Add the sliced apples, oranges, and whole cranberries to the pitcher. Add cinnamon sticks or rosemary if using.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours, or ideally overnight, to infuse the fruit. Do not add sparkling water yet.
  5. Just before serving, remove garnishes if desired. Gently stir in 1 cup of cold sparkling water or club soda.
  6. Pour into glasses filled with ice (optional), ensuring each glass gets fruit. Garnish with fresh fruit slices or rosemary sprigs.

Notes

Infusion time is crucial for flavor. Add sparkling water just before serving to maintain fizz. For a sweeter drink, add maple syrup or agave to the juice base before chilling. The final drink is light with a thin, viscous, watery consistency.
