Ingredients

Smoothie Base
  • 3 frozen bananas sliced before freezing
  • 0.5 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 tsp blue spirulina powder Blue Majik
  • 0.25 cup coconut milk add slowly
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 1 kiwi sliced
  • 0.5 cup blueberries fresh
  • 0.25 cup granola
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey optional drizzle

Equipment

  • High-speed blender
  • Spatula
  • Ceramic Bowl

Method

  1. Place frozen bananas, pineapple, blue spirulina, vanilla, and a splash of milk into a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on low speed, using the tamper to push ingredients down into the blades. Increase speed gradually.
  3. Add more milk only if absolutely necessary. The mixture should be very thick, like soft-serve ice cream.
  4. Optional: To create a galaxy swirl, add a handful of frozen berries at the end and pulse 2-3 times lightly.
  5. Scoop the thick smoothie into a bowl. Use a spoon to create texture swirls on top.
  6. Arrange toppings (kiwi, blueberries, granola, chia seeds) in a decorative crescent shape.
  7. Garnish with edible flowers and a drizzle of honey if desired. Serve immediately before melting.

Notes

If your blender gets stuck, stop and stir instead of adding too much liquid. Too much liquid will turn it into a drinkable smoothie rather than a bowl.
