- Cook rice according to package directions and keep warm.
- Prepare all vegetables by washing and cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking into small crumbles until browned.
- Drain excess fat if necessary. Pour sauce mixture over beef, stir well, and cook for 2-3 minutes until caramelized. Transfer to a bowl.
- In the same skillet, add vegetable oil and mushrooms. Cook 4-5 minutes until golden. Season with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli with a splash of water, cover and steam for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté zucchini and bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until tender. Season with salt and pepper.
- Divide rice among four bowls. Arrange beef and vegetables in sections on top of rice.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions. Add sriracha or gochujang if desired. Serve immediately.
