Ingredients
  

Beef Mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger freshly grated
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
The Bowl
  • 2 cups white rice cooked
  • 1 head broccoli steamed florets
  • 1 cup purple cabbage shredded
Toppings
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp sriracha adjust to taste
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced

Equipment

  • Large Skillet
  • Rice cooker or pot
  • Small mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Steam broccoli florets until tender-crisp (about 3-4 mins).
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain fat.
  4. Whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Pour over beef.
  5. Simmer beef in sauce for 2 minutes until glazed.
  6. Mix mayonnaise and sriracha in a small bowl.
  7. Assemble bowls with rice, beef, broccoli, and cabbage.
  8. Drizzle with spicy mayo and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Store components separately for meal prep to keep cabbage crunchy.
