Ingredients

Chicken Patties
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg large
  • 0.5 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 stalks green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
Honey Glaze
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp chili flakes red
  • 1 tbsp parsley fresh, chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet or frying pan
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spatula
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, egg, Panko, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form mixture into 4-6 patties. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from pan.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same pan. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
  5. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and chili flakes. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Return patties to the pan, turning to coat in the glaze.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra chili flakes. Serve warm.

Notes

Ensure you don't overmix the meat to keep the patties tender. Serve with rice or salad.
