Ingredients

Chicken Base
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts uniform size
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 0.33 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Toppings
  • 0.5 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Oval or Rectangular Baking Dish
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Meat thermometer

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil.
  2. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place chicken in the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, basting with the pan sauce halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Optional: Broil for 2-3 minutes at the end to caramelize the tops. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  8. Remove from oven and immediately top with crumbled feta cheese and parsley. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or with crusty bread to soak up the extra sauce. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
