- Combine warm milk, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in stand mixer bowl. Let sit 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- Add remaining sugar, melted butter, egg, vanilla, and salt to yeast mixture. Mix with paddle attachment until combined.
- Switch to dough hook and gradually add flour one cup at a time. Knead 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer dough to greased bowl, cover with damp towel, and let rise in warm place for 1-1.5 hours until doubled.
- Punch down dough and roll out on floured surface into 16x12-inch rectangle.
- Brush entire surface with melted butter, leaving ½-inch border along one long edge.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over buttered dough.
- Roll dough tightly from long edge into log. Seal seam by pressing gently.
- Cut log into 9-12 equal slices using dental floss. Place in greased 9x13-inch pan.
- Cover and let rise 30-45 minutes until puffy and rolls touch each other.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and milk, beating until creamy.
- Let rolls cool 5-10 minutes, then spread frosting generously over warm rolls.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers in airtight container at room temperature up to 3 days or refrigerate up to 1 week. Freeze unfrosted baked rolls up to 3 months. Reheat in microwave 15-20 seconds or oven at 300°F for 10 minutes.
