Ingredients

Cocktail Base
  • 2 oz Blanco Tequila high quality
  • 2 oz Pink Guava Nectar or guava puree
  • 1 oz Cream of Coconut such as Coco Lopez
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 0.5 oz Orange Liqueur Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 1 handful Ice for shaking and serving
Coconut Lime Rim
  • 2 tbsp Shredded Coconut finely shredded
  • 1 tbsp Coarse Sea Salt
  • 1 Lime zested, plus a wedge for rimming

Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Rocks glass
  • Small Plate for Rimming

Method

  1. Prepare the rim: On a small plate, mix together the shredded coconut, coarse sea salt, and fresh lime zest.
  2. Run a fresh lime wedge around the rim of your cocktail glass. Dip and roll the wet rim in the coconut-salt mixture to coat evenly.
  3. Fill the rimmed glass to the top with fresh ice cubes and set aside.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, add the Blanco tequila, guava nectar, cream of coconut, fresh lime juice, and orange liqueur.
  5. Fill the shaker halfway with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until completely frosted and chilled.
  6. Strain the chilled cocktail mixture over the fresh ice in your prepared glass.
  7. Garnish with a fresh lime wheel and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Ensure you are using sweetened cream of coconut, not standard unsweetened coconut milk, to get the right flavor and texture balance.
