Ingredients

Grinch's Face & Hair
  • 2-3 lbs green grapes washed and dried
  • 1 small bunch fresh rosemary or dill for eyebrows/hair
Grinch's Features
  • 1 block yellow cheddar cheese 8 oz, sliced/cut for eyes
  • 2 large black olives sliced for pupils
  • 1 fresh red cranberry for nose
Santa Hat
  • 1 block Swiss cheese 8 oz, sliced for hat brim
  • 0.5 cup small round pepperoni slices for hat body
  • 1 string cheese stick shredded for pom-pom
Board Border
  • 0.5 cup small round salami slices for border
  • 0.5 cup extra pepperoni slices for border

Equipment

  • Large round wooden serving board (14-16 inches)
  • Small sharp knife

Method

  1. Arrange green grapes in an oval in the center of the board to form the Grinch's face, packing them tightly for dimension.
  2. Above the grape face, arrange Swiss cheese slices in a wavy line for the hat brim. Layer pepperoni slices above for the red hat body.
  3. Pile shredded string cheese at the tip of the pepperoni hat for the pom-pom.
  4. Cut cheddar cheese into angry eye shapes and place on the grapes. Top with sliced black olives for pupils.
  5. Place small sprigs of rosemary/dill above eyes for eyebrows. Position a cranberry in the center for the nose.
  6. Fill the remaining board space around the Grinch with alternating rows of pepperoni and salami slices.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy the festive display!

Notes

Ensure grapes are well-dried. Use pliable cheeses for easy shaping. Serve with crackers or bread. The visual appeal is enhanced by slightly warmer (room temp) cheese and meats.
