Ingredients

Milkshake Base
  • 3 cups vanilla bean ice cream premium quality
  • 0.5 - 0.75 cup whole milk adjust for desired thickness
  • 3 sugar cookies soft baked, roughly chopped
  • 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt to enhance sweetness
Toppings
  • 1 cup whipped cream homemade or store-bought
  • 2 tbsp holiday sprinkles red and green
  • 2 festive straws

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Tall Glasses
  • Ice cream scoop

Method

  1. Place two tall milkshake glasses in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to chill.
  2. Allow the ice cream to soften on the counter for about 5 minutes for easier blending.
  3. In a blender, combine the softened ice cream, whole milk, chopped sugar cookies, vanilla extract, and pinch of salt.
  4. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk; if too thin, add another scoop of ice cream.
  5. Pour the milkshake into the chilled glasses.
  6. Immediately top with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
  7. Garnish heavily with red and green sprinkles and insert festive straws. Serve immediately.

Notes

For an adult version, substitute 2 ounces of the milk for Baileys Irish Cream or Vanilla Vodka. You can use leftover frosted Christmas cookies for the blend as well.
