Ingredients

Salad Base
  • 2 lbs green seedless grapes washed and dried
  • 2 lbs red seedless grapes washed and dried
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings (Optional)
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped and toasted

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Hand mixer or stand mixer
  • Spatula
  • Colander

Method

  1. Wash the red and green grapes thoroughly and pat them completely dry with paper towels. Any moisture left on the grapes will make the dressing watery.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the sour cream and vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture and beat until well combined and creamy.
  4. Add the dried grapes to the bowl and gently fold them in with a spatula until they are evenly coated in the dressing.
  5. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight) to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Before serving, sprinkle the top with brown sugar and chopped pecans if desired.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Do not freeze.
