- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a baking dish if your skillet isn't oven-safe.
- Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add dry orzo and toast for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Pour in broth and seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and Mozzarella until melted and creamy.
- Transfer to baking dish (or smooth top in skillet). Top evenly with crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes until onions are golden brown and toasted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

For a protein boost, add cooked shredded chicken or bacon bits into the creamy mixture before baking.
