  • 1 block cream cheese 8 oz, full fat
Topping
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped
  • 0.33 cup dried cranberries
  • 0.25 cup maple syrup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.5 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary for garnish

Method
 

  1. Unwrap the cream cheese and place it on a serving platter. Let it sit at room temperature while you prepare the glaze.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Reduce heat to low and stir in the chopped pecans and dried cranberries.
  5. Cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring to coat the nuts and fruit in the glaze and warm them through.
  6. Pour the warm mixture directly over the cream cheese block.
  7. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary and serve immediately with crackers or apple slices.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
