Ingredients

Cinnamon Sugar Chips
  • 6 8-inch flour tortillas
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
Fruit Salsa
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and diced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple diced
  • 2 kiwis peeled and diced
  • 1 tsp lime juice freshly squeezed (optional)
Drizzle
  • 0.25 cup honey

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowls
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the flour tortillas into 8-12 uniform triangular wedges each.
  3. In a small bowl, melt the unsalted butter and stir in 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Brush the butter mixture lightly onto both sides of the tortilla wedges.
  4. In a separate small bowl, combine the remaining cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle this mixture generously and evenly on both sides of the coated tortilla pieces.
  5. Spread the seasoned wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until they are golden and perfectly crisp. Watch closely to avoid burning. Allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet for maximum crispness.
  6. While the chips cool, prepare the fruit salsa. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the diced strawberries, pineapple, and kiwi. Add the optional lime juice if desired and gently mix.
  7. Arrange the completely cooled cinnamon-sugar chips in a large bowl or on a serving platter. Top generously with the fruit salsa.
  8. Finish with a generous drizzle of golden honey and serve immediately. Enjoy your fresh and fabulous fruit nachos!

Notes

Ensure the chips are completely cool before topping with fruit to maintain their crispness. Store-bought cinnamon-sugar chips can be used for a quicker assembly. The fruit salsa is best fresh but can be prepped 1-2 hours ahead.
