Ingredients

Roll-Ups
  • 8 slices white sandwich bread crusts removed
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Coating
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted

Equipment

  • Rolling pin
  • Non-stick skillet
  • Shallow Bowls
  • Knife

Method

  1. Cut crusts off the bread slices. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice until thin.
  2. In a small bowl, mix softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In a separate shallow dish, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese mixture onto each bread slice. Roll up tightly.
  5. Dip each roll into melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat completely.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Fry the rolls seam-side down first for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm immediately.

Notes

Ensure the cream cheese is soft to avoid tearing the bread. Cook seam-side down first to seal the roll.
