- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through.
- Drain excess grease. Add oregano, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Pour in pizza sauce and simmer on low for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Place taco shells in the baking dish. Spoon meat mixture evenly into shells.
- Top generously with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and pepperoni is crispy.
- Let rest for 2 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
To prevent soggy shells, make sure your meat sauce is thick and not watery. You can also place a pinch of cheese at the bottom of the shell before adding the meat.
