Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
Filling
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.25 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 pinch chili flakes optional

Method
 

  1. Combine warm water and sugar, sprinkle yeast on top, and let activate for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until smooth.
  3. Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare filling by mixing melted butter, garlic, herbs, and shredded cheddar.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle and spread filling evenly across the surface.
  6. Roll dough tightly, slice lengthwise, twist halves, and form a loaf.
  7. Let shaped dough rise for 20–30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 28–35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Brush loaf with extra garlic butter before baking for enhanced flavor. Best enjoyed warm.
