Ingredients

Dough & Filling
  • 1 can (16oz) jumbo biscuit dough or 1lb pizza dough
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese block, cut into 1-inch cubes
Garlic Butter Glaze
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet or Cast Iron Skillet
  • Parchment paper
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the mozzarella block into 8 large cubes (approx 1 inch each).
  3. Flatten each biscuit dough round. Place a cheese cube in the center, pull edges up, and pinch tightly to seal.
  4. Roll the dough in your hands to form a smooth ball. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Brush half of the garlic butter mixture generously over the dough balls.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until puffy and golden.
  8. Remove from oven, brush with remaining butter, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake 2-3 more minutes.

Notes

Ensure the dough is sealed tightly to prevent cheese from leaking. Serve warm with marinara.
