Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onions over medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Unroll pie crusts and cut into 4-5 inch circles using a cutter or bowl.
- Place a spoonful of meat mixture in the center of each circle and top with shredded cheese.
- Brush edges with egg wash, fold dough over to form a half-moon, and crimp edges with a fork to seal.
- Place on baking sheets. Cut a small slit in the top of each pie for steam to escape.
- Brush tops with remaining egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure the filling is cool before adding to the dough to prevent sogginess. Serve with pickle slices and extra burger sauce.
