Ingredients

  • 6 cups Apple Cider chilled
  • 4 cups 100% Cranberry Juice chilled, unsweetened or low-sugar
  • 2 cups Orange Juice chilled, fresh or blood orange juice preferred
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Lemon Juice chilled
  • 0.25 cup Simple Syrup chilled, adjust to taste
  • 2 cups Ginger Ale or Sparkling Water chilled, added just before serving
Garnish:
  • 2 Blood Oranges or Navel Oranges sliced
  • 6-8 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 0.5 cup Fresh Cranberries optional, for floating

Equipment

  • Large Punch Bowl or Pitcher
  • Whisk or Spoon

Method

  1. Ensure all liquid ingredients are thoroughly chilled before mixing.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the chilled apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, and fresh lemon juice.
  3. Add simple syrup (starting with 1/4 cup) and stir. Adjust sweetness to taste, maintaining a tart balance. Add 3-4 cinnamon sticks to infuse the base.
  4. Cover and refrigerate the punch base for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Just before serving, gently pour in the 2 cups of chilled ginger ale or sparkling water. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Garnish the punch bowl with sliced oranges and fresh cranberries.
  7. Serve over ice in individual glasses, garnishing each with a fresh orange slice and a cinnamon stick.

Notes

For best flavor, make the juice base ahead of time and chill for 12-24 hours. Do not add the carbonated mixer or ice until immediately before serving to prevent dilution and loss of fizz.
