Ingredients

Chicken & Wrap
  • 4 chicken breast cutlets thinly pounded
  • 8 slices prosciutto thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
Filling
  • 4 oz fresh mozzarella sliced into sticks
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 0.3 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
Garnish
  • 0.25 cup balsamic glaze for drizzling
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds optional

Equipment

  • Meat mallet
  • Large oven-safe skillet
  • Toothpicks
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pound chicken cutlets to 1/4 inch thickness.
  2. Season chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper.
  3. Place mozzarella, basil leaves, and sun-dried tomatoes on each cutlet. Roll tightly.
  4. Wrap each chicken roll with 1-2 slices of prosciutto to seal the seam.
  5. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear rolls for 2-3 minutes per side until prosciutto is crispy.
  6. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Rest for 5 minutes, then drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve.

Notes

Use toothpicks to secure the prosciutto if it unravels, but remember to remove them before serving. If you don't have an oven-safe skillet, transfer seared rolls to a baking dish.
